Cross River Rail is a new 10.2-kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and the CBD.
Southeast Queensland’s population is rising, putting the transport network under pressure.
The current rail network is already nearing capacity and is constrained by a single river crossing and just four inner-city stations, causing the bottleneck that limits the ability to run more trains.
The Cross River Rail project unlocks this bottleneck by delivering a second river crossing, allowing more trains to run more often, and integrating with new roads and new bus services to enable a turn-up-and-go public transport system across the whole of Southeast Queensland.
This transformational project will improve the quality of life, help the economy keep growing, generate thousands of jobs and activate urban development, across the whole of Southeast Queensland.
New and upgraded stations will provide better access to more places of work, study, and recreation.
In total, the project will deliver.
– Four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.
-2 upgraded stations at Dutton Park and Exhibition.
-6 upgraded Stations from Salisbury to Fairfield on Brisbane’s Southside
-Development of 3 new Gold Coast Stations.
Scope of Works
WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE
Woolloongabba Stations - Super T's and Deck Units
SH Engineering responsibility was to prepare a complete technical/cost advice to our client. The works in this scope comprised several components that included precast concrete supply for Super T’s and Deck units precasting services – provision of facilities, materials, labour force and management to the casting of the prestressed elements.
Stations Platform Precast & Adit Supply
SH Engineering responsibility was to prepare a complete technical/cost advice to our client. The works in this scope comprised several components that included precast concrete supply for station platforms, Culvert, and plank precasting services – provision of facilities, materials, labour force and management to the casting of the culvert and plank segments provided under a lump sum arrangement.
